Longtime California Senator Diane Feinstein told reporters she has seen no evidence to suggest Bowe Bergdahl would have been killed by the Taliban if information of the 5 for 1 Taliban prisoner swap were to have leaked to members of Congress, as suggested by the Obama administration.  In D.C. speak, this is a longtime senator, and a Democrat, calling the Obama White House liars.

Has the (very) uneasy alliance between Feinstein and Obama come to an abrupt end?

Politico detailed the Feinstein comments with the following:

Senate Intelligence Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein said she has not seen any evidence that the Taliban would have killed Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl if details of an agreement had leaked, contrary to what Obama administration officials have said.

When asked whether there was a “credible threat” on Bergdahl’s life if word had gotten out, the California Democrat responded: “No, I don’t think there was a credible threat”
In addition to the Feinstein comments, were various media reports indicating Bowe Bergdahl, a week after being taken back into American custody, has yet to speak with his parents, leading some to suggest Bergdahl is now being detained by the Obama administration in order to secure a story from him that will be the least damaging to the administration.

And as the Bergdahl 5 for 1 scandal continues to mount, the V.A. scandal threatens to re-emerge on the front page of the news cycle in the coming days, and the Benghazi hearings in the coming weeks.
